Last Full Day in New Mexico

(the last backblip)

We spent most of our last day in Albuquerque at the ABQ BioPark, which includes the zoo, a botanic garden, Tingley Beach, and the aquarium.  We started off at the aquarium, and ended up spending several delightful hours there. The creatures housed there were fascinating and varied, and we also saw a diver (staff member) bringing a variety of "meals" to the diverse inhabitants, from sharks and manta rays to tiny, colorful fish.. (There are a couple of extra photos to enjoy.)

One of the other buildings in the Biopark housed naked  mole rats, leaf cutter ants, a wide range of cockroaches and tarantulas, and many other interesting creatures. The staff there welcomed our questions and we could have spent several hours in that building alone.

Today's blip is my favorite of the several sculptures in the Biopark. I couldn't find a plaque identifying the artist, unfortunately. And I'm sorry that I inadvertently posted this blip while I was working on it, so some of you saw it in a half-done state!
