Sunny Saturday

Our sturdy "Hot Lips" salvia is still blooming, despite the first overnight freeze of the season. It's near the house -- and the hummingbird feeder -- and is always a cheery sight.

We've had some lovely late autumn weather recently, not something to take for granted as the days grow shorter. Sunshine -- or at least the lack of rain and wind, even if the sunshine is weak -- helps bring more people to the Saturday farmers' market. The extra photo is one I took across from the farmers' market, where Boundary Bay Brewery is located.  The iconic brewery and pub will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2020.
