The "Hot Lips" salvia is still blooming, but the same can't be said for me.

The weeks between that blip and this one have been busier than usual, including a very quick trip to Portland to buy a new car. The retired engineer in the family loves and understands it; the retired writer/editor is moving up to the engineer's 2007 Subaru Forester, which is enough of a change for her just now.

Most of my time has been devoted to Whatcom Chorale volunteer work, helping pull together the season "wrap," a detailed informative booklet about the Chorale, and the program for our Dec. 7 concert, which will be inserted in the wrap. They go to print this week.

I was supposed to have a day with my daughter M in Seattle yesterday, including seeing a marvelous flamenco company perform, but succumbed to something resembling flu on Friday, and could not go. I'm starting to feel a bit better, and hope to return to my usual good health by Tuesday in time for the next-to-last Whatcom Chorale rehearsal before the dress rehearsal on Dec. 6.

I'm sorry to be such a limited commenter here, and hope to do better after the holidays.
