Wound up in Wexford

Back blipped on 28th

Katherine Baker was the guest tutor at the Flute School today.  She is Principal Flute with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.  She ran some interesting master classes, and then after lunch, gave a short recital.  Very impressive.

After that, we had some more ensemble playing, and a short concert of some of the pieces we had been rehearsing with the ensembles, and then it was time to come home.

It's been an enjoyable course, and I've got some pointers now for taking my fluting up a level.  In addition, I lashed out some money on a new Alto flute.
