At last

At the third attempt, today we eventually caught up with the Two-barred Crossbills and whilst not the best shot in the world, it proves we were there with Mr and Mrs Crossbill for a while.
So enthused was I with birding, I headed off to Ardivachar. Continuing in my purple patch of form, the Lesser Yellowlegs that was seen a week ago, but not by me, and not since was there on the shore. Pretty dainty little thing and another bird blown across the Atlantic this Autumn that has ended up on the Hebrides.
Indeed the only two birds on the nasty smelly sea weed pools the birds seem to love were the Lesser Yellowlegs and a White-rumped Sandpiper.
Yesterday transported to the Caribbean, today to the US of A.
