Tropical shore today

The sun was out, the wind had dropped and we were transported to some Caribbean paradise.
A friend and myself spent most of the day pottering around some mounds of grass and stone trying to work out what they might once have been.
In true old codger fashion, a picnic of sandwiches and a thermos of tea were partaken of and this was the view from the picnic spot. Slighlty annoyingly just after I had put my camera down, two otters crossed from left to right and swam off before I got the chance of a photo.
I got back in time to go on another fruitless search for a dodgy Crossbill - a big twitch there with five other disappointed birders leaving as I arrived. No chance.
