Work in Progress

D and I visited Allanton World Peace Sanctuary this morning to discuss arrangements for the Big Sleepout which they are kindly hosting for us in December. This year, instead of happening only in Scotland, it’s a global event. As well as Big Sleepouts in big cities, many people are hosting local events like the one we did last December at Ellisland Farm. Half of our money raised will go to the official charities such as Unicef, the Malala Fund and the institute for Global Homelessness, and half will go to a local charity called MOOL, which helps refugees.

When I went into Caroline’s office, I saw her husband Uma concentrating hard on what I thought was a Japanese craft..it turned out that he was putting together an IKEA lampshade! He is very good at this kind of thing and is responsible for making all the peace poles at Allanton - you can read more about that project :Here
