I heard the very identifiable cackels of the kingfisher....then looked out into the pond and there he was!  A thrill to see and then be able to photograph as I'd been hearing them a lot this week but never able to "catch" one or have the right equipment.  I actually went looking for woodducks, but saw this little guy instead....I was very excited.  Cowboy wasn't as impressed.  
   Thanks to all for some suggestions to put onto the ramp to help Cowboy go up easier now...we will try some of them:)
