Daddy has a go!

36 days old
Tony and I had a day out in Boston today to give the family some time to themselves and to seek out a couple of presents.  We took the train in to North Station and then walked to Charles/MGH to pick up the T to Central from where we walked to the MIT Museum.  It was very busy because they had two special events, which included a Girls' STEM day so we decided not to look around the museum but picked up a couple of things from their excellent shop before taking the T to Harvard to explore the Bookstore.

Harvard was also very busy with prospective students and their parents and finding a cuppa was tricky, but we managed to find a shorter queue and a shared table at the Pavement Cafe in the Student Services building, before walking to the Bookstore and picking up a couple of books (very expensive over here and no half price offers on second books either!) and some postcards.

Back on the T to Charles/MGH we walked to Beacon Hill, a very fashionable and historic part of Boston, to pick up Becky's wedding ring which was being re-sized.  The houses on Beacon Hill are very splendid and we read a sign which said at one point it became too expensive a place to live even for rich folks!

Tony wanted to call in at Quincy Market, which was heaving as usual, then we walked to the station to catch the train back to Salem.

Back at the house and Daddy Rob was having his first go at giving Euan some expressed milk.  A success!
