Autumn Still Life

I picked up some berries and leaves with the thought of composing an Autumn still life, but have come to the conclusion I perhaps don't have much of an eye for this - though I could put it down to lack of time and practice.  So I'm not very happy with the result.  Still it gives me an "emergency blip" for today!

Other excuses:
1) Don't arrange a still life on a reflective black surface
2) Photoshop crashed while trying to tame the aforementioned reflective black surface
3) Should have used a polariser
