Old Glass Inkpot

I'm not too sure which grandparent I inherited this old glass inkpot from - possibly Little Grandad, who came from a family of professional photographers and shopkeepers (mainly general hardware and such). 

The solid glass cube, with a drilled inkwell and metal fittings, is in remarkable condition, and there are still hints of red ink on the lid. However, I chose to light it with a blue thumb-light,and found a feather and some calligraphy ink to complete the still-life image composed on a mirror for the reflection.
