Amélie Aftermath

The first storm of the autumn, storm Amélie arrived overnight. According to the weather forecasters, the winds were gusting at 130kph (80mph). Fortunately the satellite dish survived the battering and we could watch 'Strictly come dancing'.
I slept through the worst of it, only to wake to find some rather large branches of a nearby pine tree had come crashing down in the early hours. Fortunately, none appeared to have hit the house, so there was no damage, just debris everywhere. I took two photos, before cutting them into movable pieces and clearing them up.
Also, our shoes were outside the door when we went to bed, but were gone by the morning. We found them in the bushes next door!
Still blowing a gale and wet, but I think the worst has passed.
