Watch the Birdie!!

We are in Tenerife again for our annual few weeks ;-) and as usual the anniversary of losing my Dad comes around all too quickly, hard to believe its 10 years! He is never far from my mind x

Today has been spent walking, stopping for refreshments and drinks....all very nice.

Early on we spotted this bird, not one we have every seen before, in our 30 years of coming to Tenerife!!

Turns out to be Hoopoe......not the best of photos, taken on my phone, but it was rather incredible to see it fly....its head feathers came up like a Mohican!!! I have found a photo from the internet, which Ive put in extras, so you can see how it really looked!!!

The sun has set now on day two of our holiday, time to get spruced up for the evening.
