So Frustrating!

In order to make a fun bedroom space for our grandchildren when they come to stay in the new apartment, we ordered bunk beds which took what felt like forever to be delivered -- for some reason, FedEx held the packages hostage for two weeks at one of their facilities somewhere in the wilds of Massachusetts before they decided to let us have them.  Nine enormous, heavy cartons were delivered yesterday afternoon (we have to build the beds ourselves), and when we began to unpack them, we discovered that one of the long rails meant to support a mattress had been very badly damaged/mangled/smashed to smithereens.  The carton must have been dropped from a great height on its end to achieve this level of splintering!  So now we have to wait (again) for a replacement piece to be shipped from Texas.  Two steps forward, one step back.
