Dark and damp Wednesday…

Today’s weather definitely wasn’t going to entice me outdoors today, so I dug out my “new” camera and did a spot of indoor bird watching. I’m still not happy with the size and weight of the camera, but I have to admit that the zoom is sooo much better than on my little Ixus, and with the added bonus of no spots on the lens!

I’m not sure if this little Goldfinch was fluffed up against the cold, or whether he’d been overdoing the sunflower hearts! Did you notice the little row of hearts on his wing feathers?
