Kingsbridge from the Ria End

Took the bus into Kingsbridge to attend a lunch of former members of the now defunct South Hams Writers' group. Sad to have heard of its demise, but nice to see old friends and meet people who'd joined in the intervening years since my departure. Trouble is: the group met in afternoons when younger people are at work, so only retired writers could attend, and everyone's grown older and/or more decrepit so there was no-one left well enough, or unencumbered enough, to keep it going.

Glad I took the bus. The road had reopened after flooding and a bit of a landslide had closed it for some hours overnight. It's left the road muddy, but usable. But I shall avoid the coast road in the dark tonight, and take the top road to Line Dancing, also in Kingsbridge. I know more or less where each pothole is and where the biggest puddle is likely to sit.

Bloomin' weather!!!
