Remembered.

All the roads on the new housing estate at Longhedge have been named after holders of the Victoria Cross. Reginald Warneford was born in Darjeeling , India. He was awarded the VC on 7/6/1915. Ten days later he was killed.
In Extras, William McNamara came from Rushworth,Victoria. He was awarded the VC for actions in Gaza on 20/3/1917. He survived the war.
