Here we are ..............

 ............. again!   This is getting ridiculous!

Himself is back in the hospital on the directions of our GP.   The operation has gone really well and the incision healed beautifully and he feels fine.

Now they are concerned about his blood pressure - for the past four/five years (possibly longer but we don't know) the blood pressure in each of his arms varies wildly - we have always assumed that it was because of the double heart bypass he had in 2006.   
He went to the doctors this morning (Wednesday - I'm posting this late) to have a blood pressure check - 163/89 in one arm and 109/60 in the other.  
Both arms working perfectly well but a weaker pulse in one.

Off we go back to the hospital, sit in a "day room" for three hours before we see a doctor, I go home at 7pm and he is finally put on a ward at midnight - nothing to eat offered and one cup of tea given! 
 
I'm posting this on Friday and he's still there, champing at the bit, he's had a chest x-ray and an echocardiogram and is furious that he hasn't even seen a doctor yet and the nursing staff are messing up his medication. 
Seems they can't "find" any dabigatran etexilate in the whole hospital - really?? - (he has to take it twice a day) and, for obvious reasons, hospitals won't let you self-medicate ............... however he's got that angry with them that they are letting him take his own that we thoughtfully put in his overnight bag just in case.   

They have also asked him endless times about what medication he takes on a daily basis despite the fact it's all in his notes and he gives them the same answer each time.  I think he may self-combust - lol.

Hey-ho - off we go on the medical merry-go-round!

Interesting to note that TASL have now lost the contract for hospital  vehicles and this has now been awarded to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service - maybe the contract hasn't come to an end yet.
