My mother and I went to The Rookery in the early afternoon (in spite of the drizzle). I thought that I'd be posting a robin after a fairly friendly one posed for me in a couple of pretty spots, but then this blackbird landed in the vibrant beautyberry... I waited quite a while for a bird to land in it the other day but not one obliged, so this handsome chap's prompt arrival was serendipitous.
