New roof

We had an iron roof with see through light panels here but it made the area very hot in summer. This new insulated construction will hopefully make it cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

The builder had an infrared thermometer and we did some readings. The concrete pavers were 45° in the sun and 29° under the shade. The top of the roof was 75° and under the ceiling it was 32°c ...amazing result. We had downlights (which come in three colours, blue, white or yellow light) and two fans put up.

Since they finished yesterday it’s been cool and windy. It’s very dry and our state is having many fires, 3 people have lost their lives and 150 homes destroyed. There are 90 uncontained  fires raging. There are also fires in Queensland and Western Australia. My thoughts are with them.
