Black-ringed Squirrel

Yesterday it was a chipmunk in this location, and today it's a squirrel.  I recognize him because of the black ring around his snout (I guess that's what you call the nose of a rodent).  I was  lazy today and didn't feel like bundling up to spend any amount of time outside, so this little guy was an easy blip.  As was the case yesterday, when I missed getting a photo of a hawk, and then a buck chasing a doe, I missed a rare opportunity.  A handsome Pileated Woodpecker was clinging to a tree after eating the suet at the feeder.  By the time I got my camera, he flew off.  I'm going to have to do a better job of being prepared.
Have a wonderful weekend!
