Remembering Syria

One of my blip pals, shared her using Olive Oil soap in her bed to relieve cramp. I believe her soap came from France, she suggested it might work for restless legs that have plagued me for years. I set off yesterday to source it locally. Mr Soap on the market told me how Olive Oil soap has long been made in Syria. That Syrians taught the French Crusaders how to make soap.
Seeing this from Aleppo touched me deeply. The Syrian conflict started as a plea for democratic reform.
I'm ashamed to say that with all Brexit/ general election madness Syria had gone from my awareness.
