Siblings

It always gives me pleasure to see the siblings enjoying each others' company. Too bad Tim couldn't be here, but a soccer tournament took priority.

Since I have had to throw away all the food in the fridge twice this month, I am reluctant to let it fill up again with things like frozen chicken raviolis from Costco, half used bottles of various condiments, some homemade by friends, some of unknown provenance,  hunks of cheese, jars of peanut butter and mayonnaise and the like. As a result, it is pretty bare so we decided to go to Trail House for breakfast. Dana and Matt were looking at pictures of a 'family compound' that Jim had found for sale online. All in the realm of speculation and make-believe, but it allowed Dana to fantasize about having a burro, a puppy and some chickens (and maybe a 'doggy day care')

Matt left at noon and we spent a couple of hours cleaning out a corner of the garage that had become a storage place for old paint, cleaning products and other toxic items that we didn't want around. We wound up throwing out the shelves as well which were so rusted as to be almost toxic themselves.

Now all we have to do is move all the outdoor furniture cushions to the empty space for the winter and cart boxes full of paint cans to the toxic waste dump.

We're trying to clear the decks before they come to fix the roof and install solar panels.
