Man at Work

Tony (and his trusty companion, Missy) comes in to help with the garden once a week. Today, mainly because of the torrential hail showers outside, he's been working in the polytunnel: digging out the bog grass, and barrowing in loads of smelly seaweed that was gathered a few weeks ago. Now the polytunnel can be put to bed for the winter, snug in an enriching layer of compost.

Other than that I've been working on a talk I am giving to the Irish Countrywomen's Association on Thursday - a bit like the WI I suspect. Yes, you guessed it, on holy wells.

As soon as I wrote the heading, this came to mind Men at Work ! Scary how the mind works! The 80s was an odd decade! And vegemite is just not the same as Marmite, just saying.
