Day 315/19. Armistice Day, Tower of London Poppy

My Tower of London poppy comes inside today on Armistice Day. Each year it is cleaned and stored over winter ready for returning to the garden on the Spring Equinox.
During World War II, many countries changed the name of the holiday. Member states of the Commonwealth of Nations adopted it as Remembrance Day, while the US chose Veterans Day. In some countries Armistice Day coincides with other public holidays.
