Day 316/20. Armistice Day

In 2014 the Tower of London marked the centenary of the outbreak of The First World War (WWI) with the commemorative art installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, which saw the Tower of London moat filled with thousands of ceramic poppies.
This is my Tower of London Poppy from that memorial. Every year, on Armistice Day, I bring it in from our garden where it has spent the summer. It is then cleaned and stored inside for the winter.
It will be brought out into the garden again on the Spring Solstice 2021.
