Home Turf

Today was a challenge because, after a week away with new things to photograph, I returned home to the familiar and tried to find something I hadn't taken before. In addition, although the snow that had fallen whilst I was gone had disappeared, it was a grey afternoon and uninspiring.

I picked out this scene because it is optically challenging with reflections of grass and trees in the water through a gap in the foreground trunks and branches that are silhouetted against the light.
