A cold and frosty morning

Landfill bin put out at the gate last night .... when I went out just before 9 this morning the lid was just covered in thick frost.
I had to leave it in situ as it hadn't been emptied. By the time I arrived home after my stint on church lunches the bin was empty, frost free and still at the gate waiting to be wheeled down the drive.
This afternoon the weather was incredibly damp and very cold and dull .... no crisp autumnal sunshine.
