Queens Park Ponds

Yesterday the temperature was about 7C and bitterly cold, the cold that seeps right into your bones. Today it only rose to 4C but with the autumn sunshine and clear blue skies I didn't even need any gloves.

As usual, being Thursday, I took the dogs for walk through Queens Park. Both ponds were largely ice covered leaving little open water for the swans.

At this time of year the small pond gets no sun so everything was very 'mono' but as the sun continued to rise parts of the large pond took on a lovely golden glow.
