Autumn Leaves

We are leaving these autumn leaves on the flower bed to protect the plants as the weather closes in. The large leaves are comfrey; the little plants at the front are forget-me-not; and in between are some primula and pansies and some of the pansies are still flowering! I wonder if they will survive the winter?
