Thanks BT

When we moved here , 18m ago, the only broadband available was "microwave broadband" from an aerial on the top of a nearby hill,  collected in a gadget like a small satellite dish paid for by Cumbria Council in their mission to get broadband  into the valleys. It worked, was better than nothing  but was slow and intermittant; sometimes it took 6 goes to load a blip. Telehone conversations over the internet phone ( there were no wires to the house)  were impossible.
We have watched with interest as the BT OpenReach vans got closer and closer and finally super fast fibre has arrived.  Here is the engineer removing obstacles from  the new fibre cable run to our property. You can see it goes through a nice fork in the branch. Despite us having been allocated a two hour slot, the engineer arrived at 9 and did not leave until everything was working -. which was 4 in the afternoon. I'm sorry if you thought they were coming to your house today and did not arrive!  And we finally have a proper phone line as well. Thanks BT. Its not often you can say that
