For Jimmy...

.... or Jim or even James, all used today by friends and family who gathered to say their goodbyes to him.

Jimmy, as Denise his wife called him, passed away suddenly while visiting relatives in Glasgow, his and Denise’s home town. I learnt so much about him today and would love to have had more opportunity to spend time with him! He loved music ( a great Bob Dylan fan), dancing, literature, conversation, photography, laughing, Special Needs Education, he was a teacher in charge of a unit for behavioural needs...and most of all his wife and daughter. Oh and his dog Ruby, a beautiful greyhound who joined the family only a few years ago. Wonderfully, Jimmy saw his beautiful daughter Lucy married just five months ago.

Denise was a colleague of mine for several years and three of us were there today to support our friend. She is one of our Elmwood group who have continued to meet each half term for the last twenty years.....

Not to detract from today, but thank you for so much support on my Blip anniversary yesterday! Such encouragement!
