Adorable anatids:
Autumn Ross'sling, Shadowy nēnē, & Posing bar-headed goose

I took Tom to meet the Ross'sling ("What is a Ross'sling?"). He couldn't believe that the Ross's geese low (hence "cow geese"), so was left sniggering in amazement at their adorable little lowing. He seemed suitably impressed...
On our way back to the car, we swung by the spot where the parakeets and passerines have become accustomed to being hand-fed, and Tom held up his hand (without food) which was sufficient to initiate an attack of nail-biting parakeets. They were fighting for his fingertips, and battled each other and pigeons away from the prime perches.

Today's others are here (or right from Grazing Ross'sling)
