Thank goodness for bamboo

On a cold frosty day when the temperature struggled to gat above zero and frost did not lift on areas not reached by bright sunshine I was so thankful for the bamboos I have at the bottom of my garden. They added colour to what would have been a homogenous mix of depressive browns and silver. Their vibrant green brightened the day and reminded me of warmer and more colourful times to come.
