Smoky evening

It was the half hour window, when we are allowed to use the garden hose, so I raced out to water my plants and noticed the sun was almost covered by smoke. I’m not sure which fire is causing the problem at the moment but there are many burning in our state. Our thermometer rose to 40.5° in the back garden ( and it isn’t even summer yet) but our house was noticeably cool as as result of the new insulated roof on the western side of the house.

Went for a morning bike ride followed by lunch with Sharron, Anna and baby Penny. Nice to catch up with old work colleagues.
