Ramblin’ Man

A meet up with Aunti SheShe up at Caffe Centro in George St. And we treat her - to a toastie. And our chat, of course.
Later a trip to Juney Green, there to hear one Timothy Neat, great friend of the even greater Hamish Henderson. For Timmy has come all the way via Langholm, picking up a piper en route, to enjoy star billing at the Pentland Book Festival. And the big figures from the area have squeezed in to hear him including the local MP. Indeed. And a most engaging, if sometimes discursive, little talk our man did give.
And afterwards we were invited round to a traditional Scotch sitting room for biscuits and tea with a mostly lovely couple. Stimulated by our literary evening we discussed famous people we’d encountered in our long lives. And it seemed it was invariably in urinals. I suppose if you hang around long enough...
