Slow light

The light falls slowly on ancient hills
shaped by their shadows, held by their veils

I can think of few other hills where their interplay with the sky, the dance of light and cloud, the depths and heights of both the land below and the air above, the magic in the gap betwixt... where that is so much a part of the very fabric of what those hills are. The Howgills are our smallest mountain range, but they offer so much. Their wildness may not be wilderness and the remove they offer is never truly remote, but spécial they most assuredly are.

Missy's* 1:1 class was a real eye opener, but amazing to see so much (potential) progress in just two (bitingly) cold hours. Life will be a lot duller for a while for Little Missy Mischief, but the reward will hopefully be a life of adventure.

*Obviously the real truth of any dog training is that it is the owner being trained lol.
