Bowness-on-Windermere

This morning we swam from Windermere Yacht Club in Bowness for a change and breakfasted in Homeground cafe in Windermere. Always pleased to try out new places, the cafe was particularly good .  Normally I give Windermere a wide berth to avoid the tourists but early on a rainy Friday in November,  it was not busy at all. Just one swimmer "in skins" today - one of my orienteering chums; she's a hardy woman, but did not stay in long. 7.6° C .  I borrowed Mr P's very thick neoprene gloves - he's lost those for the winter now.
