Fleeting Colour....

Keith wasn’t very well today. He woke this morning with a very painful neck, what I used to call “a wry neck”. It got progressively more painful, so much so that at lunchtime I drove him to the Emergency Department at the hospital. We’ve got it pretty well sorted now and the pain is gradually diminishing. Fingers crossed he will be much more comfortable by tomorrow.
The skies have been unusual today with high cloud to start with and the a distinct haze over the mountains up the Wairau Valley to the west, and slightly obscuring the Richmond Range to the north and even the Wither Hills. I took Maisie for a walk this evening hoping for a dramatic sunset sky but any colour was very fleeting. I suspect the hazy skies are due smoke from the big bush fires raging in Australia. All the affected folk are in our thought.
