Leeds Castle Christmas Market and Funfair

Well, we managed two walks, one of 4 miles and a second of 2 miles today at a much reduced speed. Thank you for all the kind messages of sympathy and support yesterday.

My back pain has moved down over my bottom and hip and although uncomfortable to walk the pain was not too bad even without painkillers. People have variously told me to either rest up or keep moving as long as you avoid twisting. Of course, I’ve opted for the latter (see above)

We went to Leeds Castle Christmas Fair with Rock Choir to sing the set blipped yesterday at a couple of performances. Great fun and uplifting even though I suspect most of the people who were watching were family and friends of Choir members. For me it was a bit of an Eric Morecambe performance: I sang all (some) the right notes but not necessarily in the right order. As Tony said, “We got away with that one Phil” He always says that.

It was a typical Christmas Market, loads of food and drink you didn’t know you wanted and loads of stalls selling stuff you didn’t know existed. Fair play to them all, there was some fascinating products around. We spent a couple of quid on the Diabetes Alert Dog stand and that was about it. As we were performing entrance to the Fair and the Castle was free. For punters a family ticket for up to 4 children was £76 online (valid for the year) and an individual ticket was £25. So we did well.
