Turf Wars

There was an unholy racket across the way. It was too far for me to see properly, and it was a bit beyond the reach of my zoom lens. However, it seems that a pair of pied oystercatchers were setting up house, and another pair wanted them to go somewhere else. Time and again they returned to attack the locals. The squawking went on all day.

Since this is a back blip I can report that after a couple of days the attackers gave up and the first pair are now living in peace.
