Mono Monday - Beauty

This is the common wild oat (Avena fatua) which seems to grow in most temperate countries and is definitely prolific here in Australia.

This little spray has dried out and these are just the empty husks left on the delicate branch. I think they have a beauty all of their own. ; o)
