Autumn leaves, Colinton Kirkyard

A right dreary autumn day with drizzle, rain and low, low cloud. The only colour was these fallen leaves so they get a prominent position in the blip.

I was through to Edinburgh again today. This time I was meeting the daughter of mum's late friend. They knew each other from the age of six and in the last decade of their lives saw each other almost daily. One of their very regular coffee stops was at the Swing, the volunteer run cafe at Colinton Parish Church. In the past  both mum and M had taken their turn to work in the cafe and latterly sat at the same table each time, overlooking the trees in Colinton Dell. M's daughter, also M, lives in London but whenever she comes back to Edinburgh we try to meet up and carry on the tradition of coffee at the Swing. Good to see it busy today.

My family has a long association with Colinton Parish Church and I always enjoy a visit there. The blip was taken just by the main gate into the kirkyard.

I'm busy with admin for the remainder of today and out tonight so might not be very blip active till tomorrow.
