TABLE TOP

This morning's project - assembling my mother's new year planner - needed to be done on the dining table.

After that I watched with despair and silent gnashing of teeth while she filled in her postal vote in favour of a man she said she can't stand and would never vote for again, but did. The only consolation is that in this constituency it would take a blessed miracle to oust him from his seat, so changing her vote probably wouldn't have made any difference. Also, sister A2's postal vote will cancel Mum's out. Mum probably wonders where she went wrong producing five daughters who disagree so profoundly with her when it comes to politics.
