Barn Shadows

Dear Diary,

It is only at this time of year that the light comes through a window in the barn to create these shadows.  Just like my up stair hall "rainbows" which only seem to happen in March and April, the light tickles my house in different ways at different times.  Frankly, I'm just happy to see it at all right now.  It was been very dreary this month.  Still, the roads are clear and we got some melting yesterday, both good.  I still have a crust of snow on the lawn but 7 miles down the road, and a drop in elevation, they are snow free.  What a difference a change, even a small one, in elevation can make.
