Stone, moss and leaves

It's been a grey, wet and miserable day so I got on with some of the paperwork that I've been putting off.

My son and family are coming on Thursday so I've been doing housework and a bit of cooking towards the visit.  I made a batch of leek and potato soup which I haven't made for ages.  It was my mum's favourite soup and I used to make a lot and give her half for her freezer.  It's funny how simple things can bring back memories!

The photo is of a bit of the castle wall.  I liked the mossy stones and fallen leaves.
