Lets go Falcons!

Finally managed to see a live American football match, after nearly 20 years of visiting the US. Atlanta Falcons v Seattle Seahawks in the NFc playoffs (for us Brits, kind of equivalent to an FA cup Quarter Final).

A few things I learnt. A) that 60 minutes of playing time takes 3 hours to complete B) that football fans can keep whooping and screaming for the whole 3 hours C) football like soccer is a funny old game (Atlanta were way ahead for most of the game, gave up the lead in the last quarter, then won the game with a Jonny Wilkinson style kick in the last 8 seconds).

Definitely my favourite US sporting experience so far (ahead of Baseball and Basketball). I even began to understand the rules.
