In June this year, Dumfries and Galloway Council declared a climate emergency. The man appointed to lead the action group and come up with a 12 point plan was the new Environment Champion, Dougie Campbell. Dunscore Church EcoCongregation Group invited Dougie to come and speak at the church tonight. He has a big challenge ahead, but of course several people made the point that, while government action is vital, it is also up to all of us to change the way we live to reduce our impact on the environment. 

Also in the church, if you look carefully, you can see the exhibition about Jane Haining which has come all the way from Budapest, via the Wigtown Book Festival. This will be open to the public on Sunday 1st December from 1pm -5pm.
