Unreliable Memoirs...

...was just one of many books penned by the great writer, commentator and raconteur Clive James, who died today.

I loved his style, his observational humour, and his ability to use dry wit to perfectly capture what you wished you’d been clever enough to think yourself!

None of his are in my current reading pile, but allow me to indulgently share this short clip, of an interview with the great man, explaining why the poem he subsequently recites means so much to him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo3SjTAUyW0
