Xmas in Essex!

The local Christmas tree lights were turned on in Benfleet tonight so we headed down as it's a nice little affair - with the traffic driving by wondering what all the people on the pavements are waiting for! And we picked a good place to wait as it was outside one of the hair salons who supplied us with Bucks Fizz (might explain why most of my shots tonight were shaky!!) and freebie shampoos and stuff!  One of the local schools sang carols, and then a local farmer had the honour of switching on the lights! And setting the fireworks off! 

A good night was then made better by stopping off for fish and chips on the way home!  Also went to a local xmas fair this morning and was lucky to win some beer, a snowman candle and a vase!
